Wednesday 20 miles

Am) 20 miles with the last 18 at 6:48 pace. HR averaged 142 which is ~33 beats below LT or well down in to Zone 1, this was almost a recovery effort. No cardiac drift at all. One of the easier 'long' runs I can remember.
Warm-up...

18 miles in 2:02.

This coming on the heals of last week is a good sign for my fitness.

Did you run that in a coal mine at -10,000 feet of elevation? Holy bejoojoo.

Why don't you go out for 20 more so you're softened up for me tomorrow.

Brett- Funny... I ran on a trail called Coal Creek. It's at `5400ft and is flat which is amazingly simple compared to where I live and train! It does make me rethink trying a fast marathon next year.

Tim- Ha! You don't need that... you're fit!

This is flashback post (funny you even mentioned a road marathon in it). Why flashback? That HR data is crazy. Even 111 8:48 is nuts imho. Most people hit that walking.

Keep going!

Thanks Matt. 111 is kind of crazy, I hadn't thought of that. I was seeing HR 125 at 6:30 pace in the first miles.

My heart rate hits 111 when I'm eating, going to the bathroom, and getting dressed I think.

Then you need to eat, go to the bathroom, and get dressed HARDER!

So the word that is screaming in my head after seeing the display on your Garmin isn't suitable for children under 14. Sweet Jeez, like Matt said 8:48 at 111 is nuts. I'm thinking most people could hit that in an office chair or a recliner! Nice work man. Nice work.
