Not sure if those trains were moving or not, but do you ever get tempted to try to jump on to one that is moving? I get stopped by one occassionally in the AM down here and they're moving slow enough that I'm sure I could jump on, hold on for a few hundred yards, and then bail without injury.

Bob is like Batman or Bigfoot.

Justin- Ya, I don't think it would be that hard. I'm sure lots of hobos still travel by rail.

I have a cousin who is a dispatch for UP. Tells me they deal with at least one "transient" a year who takes the ride thru the tunnel. Ouch.

Justin. yea- good luck with that. true story- went to CSU and the big thing was to catch the train back from the bars after drinking. Girl tried to do that and got caught up and got both her feet cut off.

have fun.

I've caught a moving train and it's super easy to get on. Most people think that you run to catch the ladder but you actually just run and let the ladder catch you. And as it's passing by reach out, grab it and go!
Getting off....that's another story!
As for JK's comment: the last time I hopped one, my foot swung under and kicked one of the wheels. Never did it again.

The picture of the dam is absolutely gorgeous. It makes me miss Colorado so much. Though, to be honest, it could use more Bob :)

I am always amazed by your ability to balance family, training, and work. Your perspective really is admirable. Going to law school next year, people say that there will be less time, but I can just look to your schedule and know that with healthy priorities, there is always time. Thanks!

Dave- A little Bob goes a long way. Hopefully we can run some this Summer. That first picture is the road that the 12k race was run on last Summer.
