Wednesday hike 1.6 miles.

I spent part of the morning building a trail. Or some of it. It starts at 6900ft elevation and tops out at 8950ft. It's .8 miles long but I see that it will need to be longer to make a sensible trail. I see the cut up the side of the mountain every time I drive up home and there's a pull out and a little parking spot even. The trail is kind of established at the base but I think it's mostly from animals. Runnable I think once the snow melts. Lots of stair stepping natural stone and I started moving rocks to form a boundary for the trail. Towards the top it gets sketchy but fun. Sick views and sick steep. I'll go back up tomorrow and do some more work and take pictures.

I was thinking about this "create the Incline" thing and the back side of Sanitas may also be a possibility. That unofficial trail kicks in at the big bend up Sunshine Canyon about 2 miles up from 4th.

Boulder? LOL. Then I would have to go to Boulder to run in the mountains. I guess using a trail that already exists would be the easy way...

I'm feeling my edges from not running.

Put a sign on it that says that you have to run it downhill. Then we call it:

The Decline

I'll probably put a lazy-boy on the top and call it "The Recline".

How about you tile it and wax it, then we call it the floor shine.
