Sunday walk 1:00 + Kerrie Wlad rocks!

Kerrie Wlad raced Ironman CDA today after battling anemia for the past month and barely doing any training. She placed 16th over-all and 5th amateur. First in her age group!

My hamstring is niggling. I can see the potential for this to bother me for months if I try to run much on it. I'll extend my rest week and I think I'm going to take the next 2 days off completely from running. Looking back after Chicago I want to see that I did the right thing today. It takes ~5 days off to lose fitness so I'm not worried at all about that. I was commenting to a friend the other day that the only reason I didn't place top 5 at Ironman Hawaii was that I never rested. If I only had the self control and confidence to do this in 2004...?

Happy father's day, very cool header theme, and nice to see someone as fit as you hiking and walking. Monkey see monkey do.

Hamstring, heal!

finally have computer access again - we are in canada! what a rough day in cda to top off a rough month - but thanks for the kind words...in the end, i am glad that i started but i really probably shouldn't have cause i am paying now. so, now for a couple more weeks off to get healthy and then start thinking about kona. i'll tell you all about it when we get back.
as we drove through the mountains, lucie kept asking if we were going to benny's house.
