Thursday 3 miles.

Jogged easy for 3 miles today. Average HR was 144 and I had to walk quite a bit to keep it below 150. The loop I ran was steep climbs and descents. The views were spectacular and I was stoked to be running on new roads, epic roads, just out my front door! GZ put up a great post in regards to high altitude running that I have stolen and put in my files. George is running well right now and I'm psyched for him... and jealous. It motivates me to see my friends doing well. Same with Paul Kindzia aka: The Polish Hammer. Paul has always been an ANALytical guy and he just posted a great yearly lay out for his schedule that we could all learn from. Paul's goal is a 3:20 marathon which I believe he can run with little problem.

Project "Man Cave" (I gotta come up with a different name- man cave is a little to prison sex for me... not that there's anything wrong with that. I have a lot of friends in prison.) is coming along nicely. I have decided to do it right and am going to pull off all of the siding- which is cedar shingles- and install a layer of OSB board to strengthen the structure. More work for sure but in the end the office will be strong and warm. I am taking the shingles off carefully and am going to put them back on. I am also recycling all the nails, more work again, but thrifty. Unfortunately the studs are too close together to put in my bicycle wheel window so I am shopping on e-bay for a vintage bike frame that I can cut up and use instead. I am going to be building boxes in between the floor joists and will have hinged 'trap doors' in the floor for extra storage space... guns and water I'm thinking. You can never have too many guns and gallons of water!

Last night we had Jeff and Jenni, Kerrie and Glen and their kids Rain and Lucie, over for a New Years shindig. I had my fill of Crown Royal.. the best way to usher in the new year. It was fun to hang out with good friends and start the year off right. Thanks guys!

I have to credit Alan C for making the altitude conversation ... elevate.

Not sure I am running well ... yet. But you are motivating me!

"Man Cave" was a term invented by the HGTV Network and smells of prison sex. Find out the real deal at www.themantuary.com
