Thursday 18 miles. Feeling good..
am) Jeff and I met up this morning to go a few rounds. We warmed up 1.5 miles to a 3 mile trail loop and ran 3 times around with a progressive build on each loop. Loop #1 was with HR 140-150 (considered a warm-up) and in ~19:20 (?) . Loop #2 was with HR 150-160 and in ~17:57.. Loop #3 was with HR 160-170 and run in 16:27. I ran fairly hard on the third loop not too concerned with going above AeT. I feel like I am certainly plateauing with the aerobic work I have been doing for the last 9 weeks. I built on top of the fitness I carried over from the previous 10 months of training and have plateaued much sooner than I expected. If you are following the MAF method and are considering doing harder tempo work or intervals I would say to wait until you do experience a plateau in performance. I feel that I may actually be back sliding. I've never been in this situation as i have never truly exploited my aerobic fitness! This is good.
pm) 6 miles easy jogging with HR <130.. Legs feel great again- finally! I feel so much better running more miles.. something to remember.

Good seeing you guys this morning - even if I was in a car. Guessing I caught you guys on the first loop as how easy you looked.
I think you need to replace the image with Rocky and Apollo- they were friends... :) Unless, you're not telling me something...
Jeff has reminded me to read the comment again.. yes. Apollo and Rocky were good friends so I should be using a pic of Apollo.. not MR. T. I'm a little slow on the uptake often.
sounds like fun and just what you needed to get moving!
yeah, i'm not so up on my rocky references but i think jk is correct ;)
It's worth noting: in that beach sprint scene, Apollo was sand-bagging like no other.
Matt - yes! I remember seeing that flick recently and thinking how easy Carl was running compared to Sly. It is pretty funny!
