Lunar eclipse pictures

I had never seen a lunar eclipse, or at least I don't remember one. So I stayed up until ~2am and took a few pictures.

Nice shots! And I thought that my photos turned out pretty decent with my point and shoot.

Zane- I should have mentioned that I took the photos with my video camera that has a 25X zoom lens. Not sure if that makes a difference. I tried with my point and shoot and couldn't get any to turn out.

Awesome. I was going to ask what setting you had on your point and shoot. Camera newbie here. How did you capture a frame from a video?

Btw, I am almost positive I have had the Whitehawk when I was actually in Mendocino, but do not remember anything particular. Which means nothing. Great logo! It says drink me!

Wow. Cool. Our sky here was covered in clouds so we had nothing to see.

Matt- My video camera takes still photos. But the Sony software for the camera lets me do pretty much anything with a video including taking a still frame from the video.

Mama- At 8000+ft the nights can be brilliant. We had overcast skies and the moon was still bright.
