Saturday

1:20 total time with 2392 feet of climbing. I have been a Shimano guy all my life and I am now thrust in to the world of Italian componentry.Campy Chorus 10. I don't have a Campy rear wheel so I am running a rear Shimano wheel with a 9 speed Shimano cassette (close to Campy 10 spacing) and dura-ace chain with the rear derailleur limit screws adjusted to just 9 shifts. Works close to flawless. If I can dig up an 8 speed then the spacing is the same as Campy 10. Everyone knows that!

Of course we all know that. That's common knowledge. NOT!!!

Hey man,
I think I have an old 8 speed with shifters. Nothing fancy but they're Shimano and they're yours if you want 'em.
Never tried Campy, but I have to say I'm not a huge fan just because of the price and the incompatibility. Have to say though that everyone I've known that's run a Campy set up swears by it. I don't think I'll drink the kool-aid just yet though:)

Brad- Exactly...

Dave- Generous of you! But I probably have an 8 speed cassette around somewhere which would work perfect with the Chorus 10 speed shifters. The Campy stuff is like owning a Ferrari... beautiful and amazing, but a bitch to work with. I'm McGyver Jr. so no worries :)
Leadville entry yet?
