Group run Saturday

Next Saturday will be a group run up Lookout Mountain in Golden meeting at Beverly Heights Park. This is partly in prep for my next race- the Lookout Mountain Classic. It's a 6 mile climb then a 2 mile descent. Sort of (but not even remotely) like a very miniature Pikes. The Saturday group run is going to be done as the workout that Matt Reed (obvious and shameless name drop there... but I'm sure he drops my name all the time too. ha) and I used to run on Lefthand Cyn.
1 mile tempo up. Stop and rest for 1:00. Repeat to the top (so 6 X 1 mile at LT for me but people can cut down as they feel)... Stop and regroup and then try to hold fastest possible pace down descending on the single track so it will be much shorter and gentler than the tarmac. If anyone is interested in joining let me know. Start time TBD depending on people showing up.

6x1 mile uphill tempo at altitude.....For once I am very, very happy to be nowhere near Colorado.

Also, I once worked in an office with Michael Bolton! Well, not the real Michael Bolton, but I thought it was pretty cool they had the same name, especially when we destroyed a copy machine as a symbol for the angst of our generation. Come to think of it, this could have been a movie I saw once. Still, cool story Dave :)

P.S. I name drop you all the time!

Dave- Judging by your recent races you would easily lead that workout.

Scott- I'll let you know via e-mail. I'm still coordinating the time with others. Is there a better time than not for you?

I'd love to join you guys Saturday too. my email is aaronkennard at gmail if you're open to a straggler sucking wind to try to at least make it up the mile before you have already rested for 1 minute.
