Wednesday

Am) Easy recovery 7.5 miles. We are leaving for Kansas City tomorrow and I found a 5k/10k race only ~20:00 from where we'll be staying. It starts at 700 ft altitude and is super flat. Dropping 7400ft in elevation for a 10k could be fun.

I'll put my bid in for ~32:15... Have fun T!

That does sound like fun! Does the body feel the immediate effects of being at sea level. Or does it take time to register? So what i'm asking is would you race faster a couple days later or right away?

Ward- I have a track workout planned for Saturday, but even if I didn't do that I am a few months away from a 32:X 10k. But I appreciate the vote of confidence!

Brad- For this race with my fitness it won't matter too much, but generally you do want to go to lower elevation longer rather than shorter. My lungs will 'register' immediately, but my muscles won't. I suspect my legs will burn out but my breathing will be light.

hey - when you get back, give us your Kona predictions. I am thinking you still keep in on the details of that game.
