Tuesday

5 miles jogging. Wow... huh? Legs feel solid but I still feel an endocrine system lag. Felt sleepy at the start of the run and I could have slept in again.

Ben wants a kitten named Rudy or Piney. So on Craigslist I found an add for kittens. The listing says:
"Just to make sure these cats are not going to be used for anything other than a pet I am asking for a rehoming fee of $30."
Curious. I suppose if I was going to eat one then $30 is a bit steep. They are small. And the "rehoming" fee is definitely necessary because me driving to their house and picking it up is certainly tough for them.

The question thing is really very easy. You could do it yourself. YOU KNOW THE QUESTION FOR THIS POST ALREADY!
What the hell is endocrine system lag?
:)

Ha! Sounds like a clever way to say, "I'm trying to make a buck or two off these kittens without looking bad" to me. I should have asked for a "rehoming fee" when I moved back in with my parents. I'm sure that would've gone over well.

And what does Olivia think of this treachery?

Why would your endocrine system suddenly go crazy? How does one fix an endocrine system? (I have no idea what the endocrine system is.)

To be fair, $30 is a deal. If you go to a shelter thinking you'd like to do a good thing and rescue a kitty there, be prepared to spend some change. My damn cat was $180 at the humane society.

Mary and Skatona- I put a link on the post to a bit of explanation.

Dave- LOL. Ya, I'm sure that would have gone over great.

Skatona- I'm sure Olivia thinks it's great! And I hear you on the adoption. I am looking also for a mutt puppy (we'll get either a cat or a dog but I'm leaning towards a cat because we already have 2 small children)and they are $300 from the pound. You can almost buy an AKC registered whatever-breed for that. Crazy. Plus I need something that can kill a bear and/or mountain lion if it has too. A kitten can do that... right?

And the endocrine system stress is also a factor for high volume or intensity triathletes. Scott Tinley and Paula NF both have endocrine system issues from years of high volume.

Rudy or Piney...I like them both! How did Benny come up with those two names? I thought he might go with "Spicy". Or is he over that already?

Ice cream is 'spicey'. Not sure where Rudy came from. Piney is probably from the trees. He's hilarious.

Clearly he's a Notre Dame fan.

Ben can't like ND. It's a house rule. :)

Max and Ruby? Never heard of them! I like the mellow idea though. I'll have to check it out, thanks.

Thanks for the link. Fascinating stuff. I need to find that Mark Allen article referred to in the comments. I'm excited. This topic is a whole new ball of wax I haven't read to pieces yet. I wonder if my cholesterol was elevated b/c of endocrine fatigue? But if my thyroid panel came back normal... ? need to research now.
