How do these results compare to your peak?

I had a test last year where I averaged 5:46 pace at HR <150.

As they say down in the South - awesome possom. Or also winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Good run. Nice to snap back all the way to there already.

Ya, it only took me 7 days this time to get to ~7:00 pace. If I would have cut the run at 8 miles it would have been sub-7 average. First mile 6:32 at HR max 141.

How is the foot after today?

The foot is solid. There is something called hypervigilance where the expectation of pain causes you to feel more pain. I think because I thought my foot was broken it made me feel it more. This has implications for us in running. This is why I tell athletes to not race with a HR monitor or look at pace. If you see a number that is supposed to hurt then it will.

Your progress from week to week on this is sick.

Thanks... but I want to know what I'm doing wrong. I'm starting to see fault in the method or at least in how I execute it. I'm about 90% sure I see where I'm falling short. That's for another blog post though.
