Saturday

Or Tuesday according to some... I woke with an ache in my foot. 30:00 cycling at HR 135-145.

As always... a great read from Steven Barnes.

Ugh on the ache.

My head is in my ass and hence the Tuesday. I have corrected. But since we have a pipe blockage to the street, my head is still, in a manner of speaking, is in my ass.

Your head is in the clouds man. If it was in your ass you couldn't sit down.
Ya, ugh. But it's what it's supposed to be.

S. Barnes. . .wow - I like the goals triangle. I think I have time left for two good triangles (ten years) to really get things in place, "get my affairs in order." And I don't mean that in a fatalistic way at all.

Take care of that foot, NOW.

Ya, Barnes is my favorite writer. That blog post could be quite life changing for many people.
I'm going to get drunk and cut my foot off...

Interesting this internet thingy. I've read a couple of random posts this week that talked about Intermittent Fasting. Years ago I had a practice of fasting between 12-24 hours weekly depending on how I felt. It was amazing. I always had energy.

At the time I worked at a company that had weekly pot lucks on Fridays which was the day I started my fasts. Personally for me going without food was no big deal but it sure caused some anxiety for those people around me. I can remember explaining in detail to a coworker why I was doing it - for health and personal reasons - she handed me $10.00 and told me to go buy what I wanted if I didn't like what everyone had brought to eat. Then there were the people who used to sneak by my desk to go get more food.

From the experience, I really got tuned in to how much eating is an emotional thing versus something we do for survival or fueling our activities.
