Thursday

A great morning to sleep in! But I didn't. I was up at 4:45. Stepped out the front door to 22 degrees and a sheet of ice on the ground, a dense fog was freezing to everything. 1:25 with average HR 144. The dirt roads weren't slick and it's awesome run weather really. Legs feel great but HR is quite high, too much coffee and not enough water in the mornings.

Have you checked out www.zombierunner.com? They seem to have some cool stuff for ultra running and general info regarding some of the races and other useful tidbits.
I'm fascinated with ultras. I don't know if I'll be trying any soon (triathlon takes up enough of my time!) but they're definately something that I have great respect for. It's just such a different type of running.

Good luck with the new endevor!
