Thursday 20 miles and another big break through.

am) 11 miles average HR 134.
3 hour nap with my son.

pm) 9 miles.
Unbelievable run for me. Last week I ran my 9 mile super hill route and crushed my old time by quite a bit at a lower HR. Today I completely obliterated my old time with my HR 9 beats lower.
1:09:13 HR average 133. 7:41 pace. Max HR 151. I was able to run solid up the hills and had to crush it down.

It's gotta be the three hour nap! Well done, man! When are you going to take down the FKT 54:54 on Walker Ranch Loop?

Monster mileage. Is there any other way for Joghard? Cool to see your philosophy grow and again resolve to work with HR, low HR at that!

The consistency is solid on multiple levels. Nice nap!

JP- Is 54:54 the FKT? I thought it was 51:00... I had planned on running under 50:00 :) I think I'll be up for it soon.

Matt- I tried the high intensity and am glad I did! I soak up the aerobic work very well.

I think 54:54 was Dave Mackeys time during the runner's vs. bikers race a few years back ('04 ??)to set the current FKT. He beat the bikers that day. I do remember hearing he ran counter-clockwise. I was usually running it clockwise.

Counter clockwise is the tougher direction I think. My choice would be to go clock wise... but since I'm watching the movie "300" right now... the tougher the better! My son loves the movie.
