am) I didn't get to bed until late last night. At 1:00am our cat caught a mouse in the crawl space then proceeded to let it go, catch it, let it go, catch it... and so on, all the while making crazy racket. Woke up at 5:00am and headed out the door in to the dark and 5 degree cold.. My shoes froze and felt like I was wearing wooden shoes. Mizuno Wave Precisions completely suck to begin with but once they freeze I think I would rather run in my boots.. yes- I'm complaining about free shoes (they are that bad, which is probably why they were free!). I ended up with 10 miles and watched the sun rise over spectacular views of the Divide.. I saw 1 car the entire run. Awesome..
Food log:
Breakfast- Steak, waffles and french fries with a glass of scotch.

5 degrees? Are you sure it wasn't -5? It was 0 3,000 feet lower this AM.
5 degrees, -5 degrees... it's all the same in the dark at 5:30am. We don't have a thermometer so that was a guess which makes me think maybe I'm tougher than I think?
Awesome breakfast.
agreed. those shoes suck. i ran in mizunos for a couple of years and liked them but i recently got a new pair of the precisions and they are like having 2x4's strapped to my feet.
killer breakkie... you'll definitely be ready for run #2.
you and Ron Bergandy are the Shiz!
I'm wearing Sex Panther right now while I practice my Jaz Flute solos.
JK-
How'd you get Sex Panther...it's illegal in nine countries. Its made with real bits of panther.
On another note what are you liking in running shoes these days?
Josh- I think Jeff gets it from the Philippines... nothing is illegal in the Philippines.
Nike Lunar Trainer, anything by Asics or Adidas.
I don't remember french fries or schotch being on the "list". Are those apple french fries, or apple scotch?
i also have a pair of those mizuno crackers. nice pair for my feet. i cant complain...
beside that: lunar, skylon & tangent
Wet Hair.. I'm pretty sure- outside the Scotch- that is considered "health" food for most runners.
Shoes-
For me- Lunar Trainers, Nike Vomero 3's... I always love Asics, but haven't ran in them in a while. FYI- talked with Greg at BRC and he visited Nike and the Lunar Midsole is going to be used for most all of their shoe for the next 5-6 years- they are throwing it in with some posting and such for those that need it. Babies.
After JK1's comment I will add... any new shoes from Nike. I think the Lunar is the best shoe ever made in the whole world... maybe in the whole county.
JK - flute solos are hawt!
however, so is chest hair, lots of it.
i think your time would be well spent working on that.
