Random thoughts..

I don't really have a whole lot to say other than a bunch of gibberish... keep with the norm I guess?

In "Finding Nemo".. why didn't the fish in the tank just talk the pelican in to scooping them out with his beak and taking them to the ocean?

"FT" left a comment in regards to this post, (the post originally had a thought on politics) and pointed out that he doesn't care to hear my thoughts on politics. I agree and I think I'll avoid such a touchy subject in the future. This isn't a political blog so I'll keep my opinions to myself. With this blog I think people come here to read about running (mostly) and to have my political opinion front and center all of a sudden isn't good. My apologies "FT".

Very good point about Nemo. I forget, was there a cover on the tank? Also, my question is why haven't they made a sequel about Crush the turtle...

"Fish are friends, not food."

T - Regardless of what issues "FT" has with your posting, it's your blog and your opinions. You can say, do, rant, piss off whoever you want.. This is your little outlet.. You're just as free as any other person out there who voted and has certain rights.. one of those is freedom of speech!! If "FT" has a problem with your opinion, so be it. He (or she)can change the channel, turn down the volume, go drink some coffee, get out of the room.. GO FOR A RUN!! It's just one person's opinion.. and it's your right as a voting American to express those opinions... RANT ON TIM!!!

I think one of the more unfortunate things our society has allowed is the acceptance of a lack of intelligent discourse on politics. It seems that where ever one looks these days, the conversation is rarely smart, respective, and polite. Instead, it is emotional, and usually a monologue (meaning one is not listening to another).

Personally, I enjoy hearing the opinions of people who seem to enjoy the things I enjoy - in this case, we both enjoy running. I'd like to hear your opinions.

That said, I understand that you have aspirations of this as a business of sorts, and it may make sense to separate out those comments.

I agreed the basic intent of your comments. I did not vote for Obama, but I am encouraged by his election. Simply, the transition of power, as it is in our country, is an inspirational testament of how such things can occur peacefully in a democracy.

And damn ... the first HAWAIIAN president!

Ward- I sort of agree and am generally one that does express my opinion freely. It may be better to leave the subject of politics alone though. It's an issue that tends to divide people with common interests. I don't think is has much real value to express my opinion...
Thanks for the support though ;)

Dave- I think there may have been a cover on the tank, but at the end when Gill shot himself out of Mt. Wanna-hock-a-lugey there wasn't. I also think that the pelican could have opened it.
Crush is righteous dude..

GZ- "the conversation is rarely smart, respective, and polite"... and my comment wasn't any of those.

Of course my reply was not intelligent either ... I said respective rather than respectful.

Lucho, the only reason I come to your blog is to hear your political opinion, so please chime in!

Congrats on your wife being pregnant! We just had our second kid, man, it's hard to get used to a newborn again, my daugther is three, my son is almost 2 months.
