Whatever today was... 12 miles.

ughhh. Big fiasco of a day in terms of running- a great day in terms of getting things in my life done. I didn't think anyone would come to the track this morning so I didn't set an alarm. I was woken by the phone at 6:45 and it was Lis saying that people were warming up. Raining and 45 degrees I ran over to the track, no coffee, which I've cut all this week. No normalcy in my bathroom schedule- which is critical in my running. Lis, BJ, and Bob were running and I didn't have the wherewithall to even think of starting the run. Afterwards I went home and worked and then had a huge important meeting at 11:00. Then we had a realtor coming over after that. I finaly got out at 4pm for 12 miles in which Bob (from the morning run) joined me. I may not have even gotten out if it weren't for him. Well, I probably would have, but it made it much easier.
So, I'll retry the track workout in the morning if I can get my shit together enough to get out the door. 8:00am this time. Cutting coffee this week has allowed me to sleep tons better and has given me a sense of how fatigued I really I am. The news is good and I feel pretty good, so I'll be bringing it back tomorrow- just not as much.

good work w. no caffeine this week. you are more of a man than i (thank gosh for that)...but you sound a little "scattered" without it..

p.s.- put "no caffeine" on my training schedule and you're fired.
don't even think about it...

Ya.. what you said is what I meant to said, the whole Saturday is Friday thing.
Not being jacked up on caffeine has been a good thing. I wasn't as fatigued as I suspected... but I'll be brewing a pot in the morning.

wow, some people are a lot more hardcore than me...
i saw the rain and the cold and was sure that nobody would be there so i tried to go back to sleep but couldn't so i just drank coffee instead(and then of course lucie slept until 9)...

that's almost the same thing as a track workout, isn't it?

lis is tuff!

I go back and forth on the coffee. I think I quit it to just show that I can. Not sure if it gives me any benefit to quit it or to take it ...well, except that bathroom thing. It does help with that.

GZ- today (Saturday)was the first normal bathroom day I've had all week. I guess that shows my dependency? There's little health concerns with drinking coffee in moderation. All the bad things about coffee don't outweigh the good things. Moderation is the key. Even too much water is dangerous and flushes minerals.
