It went as expected but I gambled a bit to try to match a much better runner... it backfired. The race starts at 8800ft altitude and it also starts up a climb. I hammered it from the gun and at the top David was no worse for wear while I was hurting. I hung on as best as possible and managed to recover a bit on the downhills but never was in the race. David was awesome and obviously such a great runner and great guy. Losing to him by only 30" is a victory in itself.

Runcolo did a top notch job timing the race.
