We had an awesome group show up today... me and Bob. 2 X 3 mile hill climbs starting at 6900ft and ending at 8000 ft altitude. Just under 7% grade average. Paces weren't awesome today but the effort was definitely there on each climb. Our fastest ascent was in 24:03 (the FKT is 23:11)
12 miles total in 1:32 (7:41 average pace) with 2200 ft of gain.

That's a freakin' solid pace over that vert/distance ratio. Would have loved to have joined you this am if I wasn't stuck in a variance board hearing getting completely screwed over by the city of Denver.
Yes, but do you have a kayak paddle and mouth guard? I can lend you my mouth guard if you need one. I've learned to duck.
Sunday I'm doing hill intervals of some sort, possibly a long ~10 mile tempo from 6500 to 9500ft altitude. Either that or interval ~1200s on a 5% grade between 8000-8300ft. Would love the company.
Screwed over by the City Of Denver? I thought only Boulder did that...
Do you have a picture of Bob? If not, how do we know this story is true?
His nickname is Tyler Durden or The Myth. Pictures have been taken but they always turn out blurry. Weird.
I'm out Sunday. Saturdays I'm often game though..or tues/thurs mornings. And would love to get another good butt kicking soon...may have to borrow the mouth guard.
And pretty much all city zoning and building divisions suck from my perspective (ie..the evil 'developer/investor' who is out to ruin the city somehow mysteriously by cleaning up and improving neighborhoods and totally hooking up the neighbors in the meantime while they all whine and complain and cost you tens of thousands of dollars in bureaucratic BS....no it's been a great day, really)...but I won't even touch Boulder.
