So today I'm completely agro. In part because on my run this morning I had a dog encounter with a "friendly dog". I won't peel back the lid on that can of worms.
So at ~1:00pm I get a call from Ben's doctor (he had his 4 year check up yesterday) and she tells me that Ben has Strep throat. She put in an order for meds so I load up the boys and we drive the 55:00 to the hospital. As were heading in the front door Oliver completely fills his diaper and then some. It's squishing out on the sides. The diaper bag? At home. So we go in and I get to the pharmacy counter and they tell me they don't have that medication in stock. The nice pharmacist lady said I need to drive down to Westminster. I said "No, I don't NEED to drive down to Westminster. You NEED to give me the medication that my doctor ordered." I explained that I had just spoken with the doctor and then drove an hour and my 2 year old just imploded in his diaper and I didn't bring extra diapers. She laughed (in a nice way, not the offensive sarcastic way) a little bit and then picked up the phone and called up to the hospital... when she put down the phone she said that they were going to borrow some medication from them and get me on my way. Then she picked up the phone again and 5:00 later a nurse brought me wet wipes and a diaper. Sort of made my day really.
