Wednesday 15 miles

David Roche continues his great writing... his latest post is excellent.

I met up with Scott Jaime for a run on Mt Falcon in Morrison. The trail climbs next to the Red Rocks amphitheater which was cool. Even cooler is that Scott has gone to a White Zombie concert there... one of my all time favorite bands. We started much faster than I anticipated so I was sucking wind for the first few miles and even asked if we could stop so I could catch my breath. Scott was talking quite normal and relaxed so I was bracing for a hard run. We relaxed after the first climb though and chatted the rest of the 15 miles. Good conversation with a great runner! 3012ft of climbing on excellent single track.

And a new 50 miler (Western States qualifier) in Lakewood...The Bear Chase. This looks good to me. 3600ft of climbing which is exactly what my first 50 miler had. No glissading or hiking silly terrain.

Wow, that is in fact a good post.

And WZ is a great band...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPNFVj-pISU

Although their lyrics can sometimes scare the living crap out of me.

David is a talented writer! His comedic posts always make my day.

Ya, Rob can be hard to stomach. He has some kick ass tunes though! Great running music. Have you seen 'House of a Thousand Corpses'?

Thanks so much-seeing that made my day! Ummmm, and in no way did I immediately run to my Mom and show her the link. It's only a matter of time before we see a blog screen-shot on the fridge...

Anyway, answering the question above, I have seen 'House of a Thousand Corpses'---it's in Washington and it's called the Capitol building!

Ha! You always crack me up. You are a great writer (IMO). What is your major going to be at Duke?

I majored in Environmental Science at Columbia, and will be doing a graduate dual degree at Duke. So a JD at the law school and masters in environmental science and policy.

Of course, all with the end goal of killing the pandas. They have it too good, and look delicious. Seriously though, planning on then working in public interest in Boulder for 8-10 years, followed by a few years of private science-policy work, and finally politics. Oh, and world domination. That way it'll be much easier to get to those freaking pandas.

LOL.. can't wait to hear your campaign speech.

Great run man! Good to finally meet you! I look forward to many more. And the only reason I started so fast is because I know what a talented runner you are so I didn't wanna slow you up.

White Ranch up next! See if we can't get GZ and Sparky out.

You know what - if you can bring down BP (does that stand for Beyond Pitiful) you can have all the Pandas you want...
