Tuesday was an easy bike for recovery.
Wednesday was a hard bike workout.
Thursday was Sanitas very easy (19:40). I was surprised I broke 20:00 since I hiked over half of the climb (and stopped to pick a rock out of shoe).

Saturday night was 4 miles easy with Rick Merriman.
Sunday was 8 miles with Rick with some vertical.
Monday was a time trial with the Fort Collins group organized by Nick. Boulder made an (almost) equally lame showing as last time...? On the 4.5 mile climb I broke the previous FKT by almost 5 minutes. Apparently running under 50:00 is very good and I ran 47:58. This was a blast and I felt awesome from the start and ran hard enough to throw up at the finish. If Nick hadn't crushed a very solid week before hand he would have challenged or more likely won. I was quite shocked he almost broke 50:00 looking at his training the 2 days before... he had to have been exhausted. Damn tough!
Western States prediction... the front pack is going to hammer each other early and Nick will be the wolf you see above... following closely and patiently picking off the weak and injured.

Technically, no one from boulder showed. I'll come out next time to really give boulder lame status
I thought Nick Pedatella (sp) was from Boulder?
Oh yeah, he's so quiet, thin and fast I overlooked him!
Ha! I met Nick Lewis at Jemez and he weighed in at Leadville last year (he was second) at 109 pounds. He's like 5'3"... Nick P is a giant compared.
Nick p IS a giant in most races he does, and a rocket scientist to boot!
I just googled him... yikes! He IS a rocket scientist!
I've always sounded like his promoter but he's far and away the most humble good ultra runner around and focused on studies when most his age are only concerned about how much hair product to use for the next party.
