Darkush is awesome.

I bought a double jogging stroller today... time to get medieval. Matt Carpenter commented once that his 'secret' to Leadville was running with his daughter in the stroller. A double with the boys in it will weigh close to 90 pounds.

Am) 11 miles in 1:29 w/ 1962 ft of gain. I found a route that I want to try this Summer. This morning's run took me to Shimley Rd which I run often. It dead ends at 9251 ft. This morning while stopping to check out the views I looked down and saw my street. Mapmyrun.com calculates Shimley to be 1.1 miles from my house as the crow flies... so 1000ft of climbing in 1 mile from my front door. Could be good for a short workout?
Here's some pretty boring pictures. I haven't figured out if I can pause my altimeter yet (of course I also haven't read the instructions either) so I didn't want to stop too often.

N)30:00 easy.

Back of Eldorado.

I finally found a flat section of road! It's about 50 meters long...

and high.

I was a little jelous when I read about how much MC was able to run with his daughter in the stroller. Once my son could crawl he'd last about 5 minutes in the stroller before getting out of the straps and crawling out. I kept running a few times just to see if hed crawl out while it was moving - he did. I actually got a good 6 months of good training in with that stroller.

another double jogger guy!! When my boys were little I would run all the time with 2 boys in tow. I loved it. And they were heavy too and we are all about hills as well. Your pictures are gorgous! I miss the snow... (in Maine but there's no snow.)

Ben would usually last an hour in the stroller but it was always so hot in the Summers down in Boulder it was kind of miserable for him. Up here the high in the Summers is ~70-75 and the mornings are in the 60's. Should be perfect for the boys. The stroller can also be fully enclosed with the rain cover so it should be warm too. Liv is so mellow and just hangs out, he's pretty content if he's with his big brother, I imagine they will be great.

Meg- Ya, Darkush is one of the best and Steven posts every day, sometimes more.

triproject- kind of boring pics yesterday cause I was in a groove and didn't want to stop. Once the snow melts a little I'll be up on some back woods trails and jeep roads and I'll get some goods ones! Thanks

We got the stroller cadillac, the Bob Revolution for the twins, that my wife also uses for everyday stuff. It's great, I take them both on 7-8 mile runs ... about as long as they last without losing it. HR definitely taxed with 60+ pounds.

Brett- I went out yesterday with the boys... holy crap! The uphills were brutal but the downs were just sick. We have some very steep grades in our neighborhood. I made extra sure the tether was secure!
