Am) 14.9 miles with Bob in 1:59 with 2621ft of ascent (~7:59 pace). All the numbers were 'just under'. If we would have jogged a couple hundred feet more it would have all evened out.
I am counting this as a win. Bob felt off and I felt great. Bob's Jedi mind trickery/ vampiric energical drainage ability is maybe starting to lose it's effect on me. This was the second run ever with Bob that I felt good.
Pm) 10 miles 1736ft of ascent.
4357+ ft on the day and crossed over 9000ft altitude twice. Avg pace somewhere in the 8:05 per mile range.

Slappin' da bass, slappin' da bass.
I am pretty sure you did your 14.9 after reading I did 14.
So, ummmmm, now having seen you did another 10, I guess I need to go do another 10.91.
You damn kids and your lingo. Slappin' da bass? Is that like spanking the monkey?
Brett- when I one-up I do it more subtly. I would have run 14.01 miles at 1 heart beat lower and 1" per mile faster.
It's a reference to the base guitar, but I like to use it when someone throws in some good miles, like building a base. I was saying it to myself on my run yesterday because my base was still there!
bob u butthole- I thought you weren't going up? Now I feel bad- I wish I would of joined you guys. oh well, next time.
Rick- Ah, got it. I've never heard that.
Sorry Jeff, I should have called. I didn't think you wanted 2:00 though? Well, we got 1:59 so you would have been OK.
Careful ... he might be using a jedi trick of saving up for some showdown in August. That old guy is cagey.
Why do you think I have 'felt bad' every time we run? I'm lulling him in to a false sense of security.
