Vasectomy Friday

I read that getting a vasectomy is like going to the dentist, and I could agree... if my dentist had ever kicked me several times in the crotchal region. I think the anxiety of it all was the worst part, I've never had anything like this. The only time I've had a doctor 'work' on me was after I maimed myself. And I've never had anyone 'work' on my testicles. Strangers with sharp things approaching my exposed junk is not a comforting or natural thing. But it's done. I'm no longer a breeder.

I still recommend the Mason Jar skit for the follow up.

And damn I am happy there is no video blog entry with this.

Seriously - hope recovery is quick.

Mason Jar skit? I considered taking the video cam, but no one needs to see that. I watched a video of one on Youtube the other day, which I highly recommend NOT doing before one gets a vas..

The trip to Alabama is on and I'm entered in the 50 mile race... so I hope recovery is quick too!
Thanks George.

You still may "technically" be a breeder.. need to get at work clearing the pipes just so all of your swimmers aren't hanging out poolside ready to jump the first egg it sees. My doctor said at least a month before I could lose the swimsuit and go freestyle. Heal up quick...

Very true Ward. 12 weeks I'll know for sure..
How are you?

Doing ok.. I'll be running today, the first time in two weeks. Crossing my fingers.. if everything goes well this week, who knows. I may give the marathon a shot, just need to run a 3:35 to get into the show. Not the 2:50 I was hoping for, maybe I can save that one for Boston.

Congrats, Non-Breeder. Glad it turned out okay.

I'll be following your recovery as I'll be on the chopping block after MMC. I am learing though, I was under the impression that this was a simple procedure with no recovery. I'll be sure to plan this accordingly.

Rick- I can see how not resting would mess you up. Today (Saturday) I feel like I got kicked in the balls. No swelling but I haven't lifted anything and I've been icing every few hours and lying flat. I won't try to jog until Thursday so 7 days off.
