Tuesday

Below is a picture of a sunflower I cut while back in Kansas. Some sunflowers are grown for oil and some for eating, two different varieties. This one is for oil and the seeds taste like crap.

And Forte (Performance's brand) is making dual control levers for 9 and 10 spd. The 9spd are just $139 for the pair. The 10spd are carbon and $199. Kind of cool for the thrifty cyclist. They're also making rear and front derailleurs.

I saw that in the latest performance catalogue! I'm a little iffy about making the investment though. They look cool, but I'd love to hear some reviews on them first. I'm a little weary of buying anything "brand new" like that, even though it is a great buy. One thing though, they do LOOK cool!

I agree completely. Wait a year and see if they stick around. At $139 it's a steal for 9spd. You can't even buy a good cassette for that. I sold my Dura-ace shifters and kind of regret it. I have a down tube shifter on my road bike which is a 1 X 9. Old school baby...
