Le Tour...

The Tour is getting insane. Regardless of what you think of Lance or what you think of cycling in general, this is going to go down as one of the greatest races (in ANY sport)of all time. At this point there is a crazy mix of talent, politics and "legend" status all boiling together. Fun!

Just spoke to Fiona. She said you joined the workout and you knew Ewen. Good guy, I really liked the crew (ran with, no, behind them last week). Jonesy is a class act.
I'm sure you will profit from this group.

Ya- Ewen, Fiona, Jonesy... all great! I am planning on making this a weekly thing. Hopefully I can get to where I'm not 20" back every time!

I have been wondering since Lance announced his retirement from retirement - what is he after? Initially, I thought his Giro ambitions were merely a smoke screen so he could win one of the classics... that proved to be incorrect.

Now, looking at the tour, it seems that he is there to win - only time will tell if that is possible.

His master stroke this time: Neutralise the best (grand tour) cyclist in the world by having him on his own team. Contador will have to win it on his own if he is to challenge Lance. Definitely a very interesting tour. Today's TTT was amazing - I watched it live and have just finished watching the highlights...

Trev- I would suspect that there is some ego involved. And I have all the respect in the world for top athletes having an ego to a certain point. Lance should have an ego... he's the best Tour De France rider ever. I suspect he wants to win for himself and also for the LAF- to raise more money and awareness for the cancer community. Whatever... I love the guy and hope he wins.
