So the contest. I'm going fishing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The person who guesses how many inches of fish I catch in those three days wins the glasses. Zero is not an acceptable answer. If I don't catch any fish then there is no winner (I'm just a loser). So for example, say I catch 3 trout measuring 10 inches... that's 30 inches of fish.
Got it? Leave your guess in the comments and then I will post on Monday what the total is and name the winner.
Here are the glasses.
And don't forget to feed the fish to the right.

ReplyDeleteAre you saying catch as in catch and release or what is kept for food purposes?
ReplyDeleteEither way I'm saying 172"
36. Now is this the actual length of all the fish you catch, or the lies you're going to tell about all the fish you caught?
ReplyDeleteJT- It's the lies. Which means it won't be even close to 36".
ReplyDelete84"
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend fishing. I'll say 74 inch's.

ReplyDeleteHaving trout fished in the great State of Colorado, I am going to estimate a 146"
ReplyDelete146" hope you limit all three days.
ReplyDeleteAre these Lucho inches? And really, this is your first post since October?
ReplyDeleteLot of ice up there and the water ain't moving well from what I gather. That will hurt a bit. Gonna go with 30 flat to split the Timko and Brownie predictions.

ReplyDeleteG- Ya, the fish are definitely sluggish so my own guess would be that on a solid 3 day outing ~30-40". But, I am hoping to do my first ice fish this Saturday and if I can do that then it will be better. The plan is to hit 1 lake and 1 river each day.

Brian Rader- I tend to keep the trout I catch at Gross Reservoir (the huge reservoir behind my house)mainly because they are somewhat detrimental to the Kokanee Salmon and Muskie hatchlings. I've talked often with the local ranger at the lake and he has said to keep every trout I catch regardless of size (I believe the rainbow is an invasive species?) Having a thriving salmon run every year would be awesome! And last year I saw a ~5ft long Tiger Muskie swim by... I want more of that! Rumor has it that there are record muskie in the lake... upwards of 45 pounds. And (rumor) trout hitting 30+ pounds.
ReplyDeleteBut... if I'm on the river I do release.
121.5 inches.
