Wednesday

Super light training the past day or so. I tend to rest as hard as I train so today was 2 miles of jogging. Then house work and 2 thrift stores trying to find some new running gear.
 March had 112,800 ft of vertical in training.I weighed myself today and I weigh less than I have in a very long time which shocked me. I'm still lifting quite hard but I have changed my diet. I've (maybe) never been leaner. If I had to guess I would say I'm close to 5% body fat right now which I don't like. I'm too far out from Leadville to be at race weight. 20 hour training weeks and no beer makes Jack a lean boy...

Dax- That's just a guess. A few weeks ago I started doing a similar version of the bike/ strength workout I gave you on Tuesday but using 25 pound dumbbells and alternating Z3 (MAF +10 beats) intervals with 5:00 of intense super sets... unreal. Just the super sets will burn ~700 calories every 30:00 if you do them correctly (they'll also make you walk like an old man the day after!) Now all I need to do is shave my beard down to just a moustache and I'm set for the Mudder right?

Am) Fresh made vegetable juice with ~50g of whey protein powder.

N) 5 scrambled eggs and 1 cup cottage cheese.

Snacks: apples.

Pm) Salad with a small serving of pasta. Maybe meat (pork usually)

Before bed- 1 bowl of Grape Nuts cereal with 2 scoops of whey protein powder and flax oil.

I also cut my beer consumption down to almost zero. I think I had 2 beers last week.

Fairly clean diet high in protein. My energy has increased two fold and I feel better off of less sleep and am recovering better than before.

Lucho - I was trying to customize the comment function (always tinkering), but I just switched it back, so try again when you can.

That workout sounds tough, and I'd like to try it, maybe in a month or so. I still need you to send me your address for the sticker.

so, like, what do you do when you don't have a beer? checkers? little boats that miraculously fit into glass jars?

I do the same things I do when I drink beer... but without beer.

i'm exhausted so i won't bother making a joke there, but yes. it's long since time i spent a few weeks riding the Wagon. after literally just a week, i wind up so skinny its creepy. stupid, awesome beer.

Seriously, I dropped 5 pounds in a week just not drinking my usual. Crazy. And yes... stupid, awesome beer.
