I made it one mile from home and turned around and walked home. I hate walking. My legs feel completely drained and weak and my HR never broke 100 in the first mile. This isn't completely unusual for me as I have a fairly severe fatigue lag after hard efforts and Saturday's race followed by a brutal session on Sunday certainly were hard enough. So today will be a wash of sorts. I might be able to get out with my boys in the jogger later which no matter how easy I go will be a hard run. Tomorrow is a track workout.

I always dig the personal side of your posts. The title made me chuckle before I even clicked through...
Sorry it didn't go as planned. And sorry that it makes me smile just a tiny bit to know you are human, after all.
btw, I bought new ammo for my glock yesterday - - wooooo hooooo! A shooting rampage awaits on Saturday [a SAFE rampage out in the desert, no worries]. ;)
The discipline to turn back on bad days is really important. But that might just be what I tell myself when walking up stairs is a Zone 5 effort.
Another track workout??? I was hoping that I could catch you on a bad day once I'm in Nederland, then try to break away on a descent (I know how you love downhills!). With your new speed training, perhaps I will need to be pushed in that stroller.
