Trigirl- Yes! March and April are huge snow months for us. Last year we had a 51" snow in late April! I love it though. Olivia (although Lily is a great name too)hits several houses in the neighborhood for scraps. I think she's well fed. A neighbor saw a bobcat on our street this week.
D- Definitely. But if you look to the right of the tree in front you can see another huge tree just behind the house. That one is in an 'L' bend of the house and the deck is built around the tree. If that tree goes we'll be kind of screwed. We have pine beetle heading our way also so I wouldn't be surprised if we'll have to cut them down in the next few years. If we do, I already have designs for making the stumps in to totem poles. I hope you're well!?
we are well, thanks. gonna take a look at a log cabin on mt. palomar. it ain't colorado but it it does snow up there. got to get the kids away from electronics for a couple of days during the week.
my oldest had a brio train set. it was her favorite for years until she became a teenager :(
p.s. how the heck are you ever gonna top off that tree?
Brfoot- You had a monster snow last year I remember. Several feet?
DS- I remember riding up Palomar with Mike Pigg. It's awesome up there. What do you mean top off the the tree? Cut the top off? A chainsaw, brass balls, a rope and a lot of luck :)

Holy smokes... you guys get pummeled in March with snow, eh? Hope Lily and her animal friends can find some grub out there.

it is good the tree is leaning away from your house.

We got so screwed in the snow dept. this year. Not enough for even a good snow ball fight let alone a bitchin snow fort like that.
