Last night my wife said something to me.. "You need to rest". She's seen me at my worst and I'm not sure if she has ever said this to me so I listened. My sleep has been horrific and my diet hasn't been the greatest (which is why I haven't posted any food logs)and my stress levels have gone way high. I started 3 new athletes last week for coaching and have been busy which doesn't meld well with a 10 month old that has more energy than I do. Trying to get my miles in at 5am then chasing Ben around all day on top of working is kicking my ass. I'm pretty delicate at times I will admit. I don't know how other people do it.. So, I am taking a rest week when I had actually planned on a huge week. Thursday is a 4 mile race in Ft. Collins that has a very strong elite field every year that I may still try to do if I can recover a bit over the next few days. Then I'll be at sea level which should help.
Matt posted a comment and asked if I ever miss triathlon.. yes. I miss being fit.
