Wednesday bike fail
This post is for Damie who thinks I never have bad days :) I had planned on a 10,000ft climbing day on the bike and felt good as I started. During the first big 1600ft climb my legs went to crap and I felt weak. On the second 1400ft climb I turned around just after starting the climb and came home. Bagged it at 1:30. I realized I was starving when I finished so I may have had a rare under fueled day. I can usually see these days coming but today it surprised me and in the interest of having solid back to back track/ tempo runs on Friday and Saturday I didn't force it today. I wasn't so weak that I couldn't have ridden the goal workout but it would have impacted more important training to come. So it was an unplanned easy recovery day. I think more often than not in instances like this an athlete is better off being safe and bagging one session to save two. Had I pushed through today then Friday and Saturday might not turn out as solid.

Still takes balls (and experience) to willingly stop. Good on you, Lucho.
Did you eat your usual amount of food on Tuesday - like 1 apple all day?
I just saw this post. Thank you! I absolutely needed to see that 1 x year you have to bag your workout. (hee hee!) But, truly, you know it was good for me to see this. Thanks, TL- you rock.
