Tuesday 10 miles with a test

10 miles in 1:16:45 with 2000ft of gain between 8200-9200ft altitude/ 7:40 pace/ Average HR 153.
I ran a 2.6 mile moderate (Zone 3 effort) time trial from 8300ft up to 9200ft altitude with an average HR of 163/ max HR 168 and 3.4 mmol blood lactate. This was considerably better than the last time I did this. Faster and lower lactate levels. I was also within 3:00 of my best time ever on this climb but with a max HR nearly 30 beats lower today.
I think my 5k in 2 weeks is not going to happen. It's a good thing I don't like racing.

Ya man. I've been focused on this for two months. Instead I'll be staying in a cabin up on Harrison Lake in British Columbia surrounded by 1400m peaks and bad-ass trails. I will be bringing my fly rod too! It's all good man.
