Sunday in pictures

I got a bit hung up on the sail boat and took a bunch of different shots. My favorite without doubt is the first night pic of the tree...
I'm getting the hang of lighting concepts. I  saw this tree with a single branch sticking out further than all the others, set the flash to a slow syncro and voila. This is straight off the camera.

Nice work on the photos.

There's something about shots with the sun blazing in them that I really like too, and I tend to take a lot of them. I think it's just the great feeling of being in the sunshine and trying to capture that, and it's visually interesting.

Great shots. That place looks a lot like McCall, Idaho my home- the lake, the snow, the size and shape of the peaks surrounding the town...and only a 14 hour drive from Boulder.
