Monday Leadville rambling

Leadville opens registration in a few days. Both the MTB race and the run. The 100 mile 'run' didn't really do much for me so I doubt I'll sign up. About the only way I would do the run again is if I get in to the mountain bike race (and then it would just be to see how high I could place in both races just 7 days apart). 'Back in the day' (I'm an old has been now) I was a better cyclist than a runner, so when I look at the race results from the bike race my competitive angel pops up on to my shoulder and starts to whisper in my ear. I never really felt super competitive in my marathons and Leadville was just more about self exploration rather than actually racing. But something about the bike digs in to me a bit and makes me want to really push to see what might happen. I have to wait until the end of February to find out if I'm in. That's a long time...

How I wish to say that one day, "The 100 mile distance didn't really do much for me."

Love it. I still want to do it one day. ;)

3 months? WTF?

E- Sorry, I don't mean it to sound that way. You could do a 100 off of very little training if your nutrition was right.

Patrick- November 4th is registration and they don't draw for the lottery until February 28th... that's closer to 4 months. The longer they hold registration open the more money they make. That's what I would do too.

Dude. That would be quite a pair of buckles. Somehow you'd have to wear them both at once. Or maybe even with the one from this year too.

Like a necklace.

If I get in to Pb and then finish in a timely manner and get a buckle then I will solder them together and make one big one.
